4th Grade

Hi 4th graders!
You probably remember we were working on chain reaction machines before we had to stay home. I will have a few more things in the Google classroom that will help us finish the Kinetic Energy science unit, but in the meantime I found this video of a chain reaction machine that I thought was perfect. You’ll see why! Hope you enjoy it!

Hey Fourth Grade,
Happy Friday! I was so excited to hear that some of you got to see each other through Zoom yesterday. I can't wait to have a Zoom meeting where we can all see each other. Have your parents signed the permission form so I can set this up? Soon you will have your own Google Classroom account. What do you know about Zoom and Google Classroom?

Have a fabulous Friday!
Miss you all very much,
Mrs. Rachael

Good morning everyone!
This is Ms. Maggie. I hope you are all doing well! Since all schools in Vermont were closed for the remainder of the year, I won't be subbing at Thetford this spring after all. So I am rejoining our class online ๐Ÿ˜Š Even though this is a strange and sometimes tough situation, I wonder if there is anything you have been able to do at home that you like, that maybe you wouldn't have otherwise? I have been enjoying spending extra time with my family, spending a lot of time outside every day (my favorite thing!), and baking a lot. Please comment if you would like to share something you have been enjoying.
๐Ÿงก Ms, Maggie

Here's a video to make you laugh! Sometimes Dolly bites her feet when she is bored :) I think it's so funny!

Good Morning!

Today is Tuesday and it's the last day of March! We woke up to another light dusting of snow this morning! This is your last week with the remote learning materials that Mrs. Townsend and I put together for you. Have you gone on any of the links that we have posted on the home blog page? Today I posted a link to a scavenger hunt the Montshire created. I'd love for you to do that scavenger hunt and comment on the post after!

Mrs. Z asked all families and students to get in touch with their teachers a minimum of twice a week. Ways of getting in touch with me:
1. Email me through your parents email
2. Share a google doc with me and update that same google doc
3. Comment on the blog

I love hearing from all of you. I miss my fourth graders, but always look forward to writing you back!
Lots of love,
Mrs. Rachael

Hi Fourth Graders! Just wanted to show you that I too am trying to get outside and have fun at home! Dolly does not like to stay still for photos! You can see she's trying to jump out of my arms :) She's growing up so fast I can't believe it! Missing you all so much!

Good Morning my wonderful 4th graders,

It's Friday and wow it's beautiful out again! By now you may have heard that the Vermont schools will be closed for the rest of the school year. Although I am super sad, I am also excited to create a new online learning opportunity for all of you! I am thankful that it's Spring and we can spend so much of our days outside during the school day too. During hard times I do my best to focus on what I am thankful for. It the comments below, write what you are thankful for today!

I'm thankful for being your teacher.
Lots of love today,
Mrs. Rachael

Check out the imagines your classmates created based on the video she watched in our morning message! Did you create a rainbow or a positive message to put up in your window? Take a picture and send it to me! Make sure to put it up in your window like kids all across the world have done!

Hey Kind Kids,

Happy Thursday! It's a beautiful morning and I am feeling excited about the day. I have a couple video meetings with other teachers today. I'm hoping to do a video meeting with all of you soon! I miss your faces! Today I would like you to visit this site to see what kids all over the world are doing to help cheer others up! I would like you to do this activity, take a picture of it, and send it to me so I can post it on our blog!

What else can you do to be kind to others today?
I miss you all,

<3 Mrs. Rachael

Good Morning Fabulous Fourth Graders!

Happy Wednesday! I have loved hearing from so many of you this week. It looks like many of you are doing your best to keep up with your school work and balance that with playing outside too. Keep it up! With all of this extra time at home, how have you been helping your parents around the house? At the bottom of this post write your answer in the comment section. Make sure to sign your name with it!

Missing you all very much!
